There are times when hair can start to thin as we age for many different reasons. Having thin hair can make some people feel very self-conscious and make getting ready each day difficult. If you want to be able to have full, vibrant hair without having to use any scalp treatments or having any procedure done to your scalp, consider using hair extensions to get the look you want. The following guide walks you through a few tips to use to ensure that you are able to quickly and easily create the look you want to create.
Choose Hair Extensions That Are Longer Than You Want Your Hair to Be
When buying hair extensions, it is important to get extensions that are slightly longer than you want the finished look to be. This will allow you to have the extensions styled by a professional stylist so that they can look seamless when you wear them with your natural hair.
Choose Human Hair Extensions
When you purchase the extensions that you plan to use, be sure to select an option that is made from human hair. The hair will be able to be dyed to match your hair color perfectly so that no one will be able to tell that you are wearing extensions. The human hair extensions will also be able to be heat styled so that you can wear them curly or straight at any time.
Choose Clip-In Hair Extensions
Sew-in or glue-in hair extensions can sometimes be hard to work with because it can be difficult to wash every nook and cranny of them while they are attached to your head. Clip-in hair extensions allow you to remove them when you are ready to wash them so that you can wash them thoroughly and apply ample amounts of conditioner so that they look great every time you wear them. It is best to comb the conditioner through the extensions when you are conditioning them to ensure that all tangles are removed quickly and easily.
It is best to let the hair extensions dry naturally after you wash and condition them. The less heat they are exposed to, the less chance of the hair extensions breaking off or becoming brittle. It will take some time to get used to wearing hair extensions though. You may need to have a professional stylist teach you how to use them properly so that you can create the seamless look you want. I was blessed with healthy, thick hair and perfect skin as a young girl. I went to college out-of-state, and I soon started to get acne and my hair started thinning. Everyone told me that it was likely due to stress, but to be honest, I loved college and found most of my first-year classes pretty easy. During my first summer home I put two-and-two together: my eating habits changed drastically at college. My mother always fed us very healthy meals, and my eating habits at college were so bad that I even ate cookies for breakfast sometimes! I found out my hair loss was due to lack of healthy vitamins in my diet and my skin problems were also caused by my poor diet. I created this blog to help other learn how their health, skin, and are all connected, and I hope you can learn a lot here!
